Icehockey for beginners

For who?

SR hockey school is for beginners at all ages. The main goal is to have fun and learn how to skate while doing so.

Goals

The goal is to teach kids the basics of ice skating. The program is based on Learn to Play from IIHF where the emphasis is on balance, mobility and give kids a good and positive environment.

Our great coaches guide the kids through the basics of skating and ice hockey.


When and were?

SR hockey school is three times a week in the Skautahöllin ice rink, Laugardal Reykjavík.
Saturdays at 12:00 – 12:45
Wednesdays at 17:15 – 18:00

Besides that female beginners at all ages are welcome to girls practises on Tuesdays at 19:15 – 20:15.

How much?

Beginners can try out for free for a week.
SR hockey school + practises with appropriate age group for the rest of the season costs 39.600 ISK.
Leisure grants can be used at SR hockey club.
4 years and younger only pay 19.800 ISK for SR hockey school.
SR hockey club can lends kid protective gear to begin with.

Good to know

It’s good to attend in warm clothes that’s easy to move in. It’s also important to show up 15-20 minutes before to find a helmet, skates and protective equipment.
